Always willing to take corrections like this, without animosity. <BR/><BR/>Milton's a free agent, and probably still recovering from elbow surgery, which I didn't realize at the time (ESPN's page for him still shows him being on the Reds, even though he's not listed there on the team page). His disastrous 3-year, $25 million contract is finally off the books. <BR/><BR/>I doubt Phillips will stay in the cleanup spot all year, mostly because I don't expect him to smack 30 homers again, as I mentioned. <BR/><BR/>Affeldt was obviously pretty good last year, but coming into the 2007 season, he had a 4.91 ERA in 427 major league innings, so I'm more inclined to believe that his real talent level is closer than than to the 3.51 ERA he put up in 59 innings last year. <BR/><BR/>"not too bad for a non Reds fan"? Then EE/Votto/Catcher<BR/><BR/>Ross is hurt and that means Bako will be with the team. Castro, who you didn't mention, is going to be the backup SS since Gonzo is out. <BR/><BR/>Baker prefers Hopper over Freel and Freel might be dealt anyway. A CF platoon will be Hop/Pat. <BR/><BR/>I don't know why you think Affeldt is bad, he's much better than Stanton. Bray is also going to be on the team, so 3 LRP. <BR/><BR/>Belisle is hurt so he will be on the DL. <BR/><BR/>There are some other stuff wrong, but it's not too bad for a non-Reds fan.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
